A Call for Skuld Project Funding Assistance!
The horse adventure aspect of The Skuld Project is back on track. The plan at this point is to begin in the Spring of 2011. So here I am starting the first phase of my fundraising efforts. Many of you on this list know about the horse travel/concertising aspects of The Skuld Project, but here is a quick rundown to give you an idea of the project and then a description of my fundraising drive.

Fundraising Phase 1  
Is where I am now, Late Spring 2010. Preparing and training for the journey to come in the Spring of 2011. I am currently at Trails End Guest Ranch in S. Saskatchewan, helping out at the ranch, learning as much as I can about horses & horsemanship with the wonderful Chris and Lyle Benz.
For this stage, I am raising funds primarily for equipment, for horses and their care while I am here. I am working with a few horses here that will be for sale that may become a part of the journey. 

Fundraising Phase 2
Will be happening in the Winter of 2011. That fundraising period will be focused on raising funds for the actual travelling time through the Spring, Summer and Autumn of that year. Throughout 2010, I will also be setting up performances at rural music festivals, house concerts and the like. These performances will also help to fund the travelling.

Donations
Can be made safely through Paypal at The Skuld Project - Support or using the Paypal button below. If you would like to make a donation with some other method, such as by cheque, please let me know and I will send you the pertinent information. Besides being deeply appreciated, all donors will be thanked and mentioned on the 'support' page of my website. Requests for anonymity will of course be respected. 
Please let me know if you would like your donation to help out with a specific aspect of the project. ie. the horses, their care, pack equipment, materials that I will use for the making of certain equipment - mostly camping equipment, saddles and other tack

Commercial Sponsorship and Fundraising
Commercial sponsorship and fundraising efforts involve looking for help with acquiring equipment directly through retailers of equine related equipment and of course fundraising of any kind. In return, I am able to provide a link on this site and special mention of any support, however I will not be able to provide anything in the way of commercial advertising or other such promotion.

Any equipment acquired through sponsorship with companies will be used according to the suitability to the journey and the project in general. If I have a company or equipment recommendation on this site, it will because I make use of the stuff and have found it to be of excellent quality. I do have specific suppliers in mind that I will be contacting in due course for support. If you and/or your company feel that you would like to contribute in any way to my project, I would be delighted to talk to you about your ideas. This project and journey will not be terribly expensive to put together and I am confident that enough will be raised to make this a great and successful adventure! First thanks go to my Mom, Madeline who has saved my ass on many an occasion and is never ending in support of all sorts.
