• Friday January 8 2010 Fundraising concert/dinner 6:30 PM - at David Dunbar's place in Toronto. This has become an annual event now and is a tremendous help in helping me with my work and projects. This year the funds raised will be used to help pay for my Banff Centre Residency this coming winter. For those that have never been to one of these events, it involves a one hour performance by me followed by a lovely dinner with wine and great company.

I love doing these concerts at David's house and they are easily the most gratifying situations to play at. There are usually slightly less than 20 people that attend. The atmosphere is peaceful and joyful. I will be playing on a new Cora, singing some new songs and possibly playing a little on one of my bone flutes. I perform on instruments that I make myself and the focus is a part of The Skuld Project. An ongoing project that explores the modern human place in the wild world. To a great degree, my music these days is reflecting experiences that I have been having in the west of Canada; SW Alberta and especially my time that I have been spending at my friends Chris and Lyle's ranch in Saskatchewan. I can feel the rhythms of the land the horses the sky infusing itself into my words and music.

The plan is for people to arrive between 6:30 & 7, I will play for an hour at 7 and then we will have dinner at 8 or so. I shall pass on David's address when attendance is confirmed so PLEASE let me know if you would like to attend before hand!

Attendance is by donation with a suggested $50 minimum. As always, I keep some space open for those that cannot afford that amount. It is important that if you would like to come that money not be a hindrance! I will also not hinder anyone who would like to donate more than the suggested!
